Should There Be A Spinoff To “The Clark Sisters” Movie?

Another Saturday night in turned out to be a great movie night, thanks to Lifetime’s biopic, ”The Clark Sisters: First Ladies of Gospel.”

Although viewers have previously been displeased with some of Lifetime’s portrayals of their favorite stars in the past, social media chatter has proved that the biopic is indeed a winner.

Most complaints in the past have been directed toward the network’s casting. Concerns over the lack of diversity and the selection of actors who have no resemblance to its real-life characters have been the biggest points of criticism towards Lifetime’s movies.

Fans seemed to love everything about “The Clark Sisters” movie, from the casting, performances, music and the plot.

According to “Billboard,” ”The Clark Sisters: First Ladies of Gospel” was 15 years in the making.

The film was executive produced by music heavyweights Mary J. Blige, Queen Latifah, and Missy Elliott, as well as the sisters.

The movie was filmed in Canada, and showcases the upbringing of the Clark Sisters from their start in their family church choir under the leadership of their mother, the late Dr. Mattie Moss Clark.

Dr. Moss Clark was a respected international choir director responsible for popularizing the famous three-part harmony she taught her girls.

On their journey, as depicted in the biopic, they experienced abuse, family drama, betrayal and more.

The Clark Sisters have won multiple Grammy and Stellar Awards over the years, and continue to travel the world, singing and preaching together.
